Propolis is a natural substance that honey bees gather from trees and use within the hive for promoting health and maintaining cleanliness. For centuries, it has been a key ingredient in skincare due to its inherent medicinal benefits, possessing anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral properties.

When formulated into a beeswax balm, it can be applied to problem skin, providing soothing relief and aiding in restoration. Our customers have found it beneficial for enhancing the condition of skin prone to eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and rosacea.

Active ingredients

Propolis, derived from plant sap and carefully processed by bees, is a resinous substance consisting of a rich combination of resins, balsams, essential oils, pollen, and beeswax. This remarkable material acts as a protective shield for bees, offering defence against infections and diseases due to its notable anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Beeswax is one of the oldest ingredients used in skincare. It forms a protective film on the surface of the skin helping to lock in moisture while also protecting against environmental damage. Its non-comedogenic properties ensure that it does not clog pores, and it also has anti-inflammatory properties making it particularly suited to sensitive skin.
